Now when the weekend is over everything seems so far away, but it seems like it was lasted way longer than 4 days. I came back home full of impressions, from the tricks, riders, organizations and most of all some new friendship.
We started our trip at Friday morning. My trip fever is becoming too often. Of course I couldn’t sleep whole night. I couldn’t wait morning to come so I can start my trip to Holland, Down Under cable and Protest cable call, stop of WWA Wake Park World Series.
It is interesting how in a short time by plane you can be on the other part of the Europe. I woke up at 5am after short sleep, having trip fever and already around 11 o’clock we were on Down Under cable in Nieuwegein at WWA Wake Park World Series stop “Protest cable call”.
Tom Fooshee continued his reign on the cable at the second stop of the WWA Monster Energy Triple Crown presented by Alliance Wakeboard Magazine. On the final day of July 2010, the action was at Kansas City Watersports, where some of the best cable wakeboarders in the world turned out to vie for the title. Despite the best efforts of a global field of riders, Fooshee dominated in not only the pro finals, but the Ten-80 Obstacles only field as well.
Water from below, water from above – and in the middle: Germany’s best wakeboarder. 38 teams with a total of 76 riders started at the Telekom Local Support Wakeboard Challenge at the Turncable in Thannhausen/Germany to show some excellent riding – no matter the sometimes very heavy rain. And their commitment was rewarded: right on time for the finals the clouds opened up and the sun came out.
So I am here at Turncable at Thannhausen – Germany, definitly heaven for wakeboarders. Two cables, regular & goofie, 15 obstacles, 2.0 system with a double kicker and a quater pipe, accomodation on the premesis… I mean what more could we ask for?
And this weekend Turncable was the host of the Telekom Local Support contest. There was 14 teams of 2 people in Pro category and I think 15 teams in Amateur category. Each rider had two runs and the best round of each rider counts...
